One of a kind - unique - hand made men's wallet made out of hand stitch multiple layers of fabric and leather. It's approximately 4.8"x6"X1"In Colombia and other countries in South America, people refer to that type of fabric and sometimes the whole finished product as "MOLA" or "MOLAS". You can find machine made Mola panels, but this one is completely hand stitch and fairtrade.
The Kuna Indians are a strongly-knit tribal society living on a chain of islands called San Blas Archipelago, on the Atlantic side of the Republic of Panama.
MOLA - in Kuna language is the blouse of the Kuna women’s traditional dress, and is decorated with two very complex handcrafted panels (front & back). These panels are created with a technique called "reverse appliqué", like a colorful collage of textiles with unique designs (tribal symbols with cultural and religious meanings). Several layers (usually two to seven) of different-colored cloth (usually cotton) are sewn together; the design is then formed by cutting parts of each layer away.
MOLA panels have found their way into world-renowned museums around the world and are prized by Folk & Indigenous Art collectors.
