Lovely totally hand crocheted seed and wood Necklace.
The cord is made out of cotton. The necklace has a loop in one of the ends so you can loop the beads over allowing you to adjust the length from approximately 8" to 9".
The technique used to make this set is called crocheting. It is made from Amazonian seeds found in the Colombian rainforest. The Black seeds (chirilla) when ripe, fall to the ground and are gathered and dried for up to four weeks. The turquoise pieces are wood beads.
Our items are fair-trade and we use natural, biodegradable materials that have been harvested in a sustainable manner. Our two chief aims are environmental preservation and giving talented but disadvantaged artisans an opportunity to participate in a leveled global market.
