Unique totally hand crocheted seed Jewelry Set.
The cord is made out of cotton. The necklace has a loop in one of the ends so you can loop the beads over allowing you to adjust the length from approximately 8" to 9". All seeds used to make this necklace are eco-friendly and fairtrade and imported from South America.
The technique used to make this set is called crocheting. It is made from Amazonian seeds found in the Colombian rainforest. The Red seeds when ripe, fall to the ground and are gathered and dried for up to four weeks. The indigenous people of South America use PLATINO ROJO (NAME OF THE SEED) to represent prosperity. In china these seeds represent romance and love. As you look close you can see a red heart inside of another.
Our items are fair-trade and we use natural, biodegradable materials that have been harvested in a sustainable manner. Our two chief aims are environmental preservation and giving talented but disadvantaged artisans an opportunity to participate in a leveled global market.
